I really love this song, and my dream is that it will become a Christmas classic. I wrote the piano arrangement, hoping to capture a nostalgic feel, and recorded it with Jason Gordon at Studio 11 in Winnipeg.

It Won’t Be Christmas Til You’re Home

Oh the carolers came to the door tonight
Singing their songs about love and light
I tried to join in but it didn’t feel right
Singing without you

It’s just me and our old artificial tree
The one that we bought last January
Feels like I’m faking everything
Being here without you

Friends come by, say hello
But I’m standing alone
Underneath the mistletoe
Let’s ask Santa Clause to please press pause
Cause it won’t be Christmas til your home

There’s a hustle and bustle out on the street
Shoppers out buying last minute treats
But I’m moping around in my slippered feet
Waiting for your call

I sip the mulled wine but it’s not as good
Nothing is tasting the way it should
I know that you’d be here if you could
Yeah I know you would

Friends come by, say hello
But I’m standing alone
Underneath the mistletoe
Let’s ask Santa Clause to please press pause
Cause it won’t be Christmas til your home

I’ve sent the Christmas cards
Trimmed the tree and placed the star
Decorated every room
But all I want is you
All I want is you
