Some people may not know this, but I counsel creatives. I don’t do therapy - there are far more proficient professionals who dedicate their lives to this. What I do is help people get “unstuck” - and what I love to do is help them unstick their creative selves. 

I’ve worn so many hats over three decades in the music industry. I know the highs and lows of it all...The dopamine rush when you hit the perfect lyric/melody combination, and the imposter syndrome that can send us into hiding, sometimes for years. 

I’ve lived the spiritual angst that too often distracts us from doing good work…that constant questioning: Is this what God wants me to do? Is it ok for me to want this? Can I ever I get off the “guilt/shame” cycle and just create freely? 

There are gifts that are more easily seen in people - great singers, musicians, songwriters. And there are those that underly all the others…the ones that are at the heart of why we do what we do. That gift, for me, is as a connector. If I’m helping people connect to God, to themselves, and to one another, it doesn’t matter the “how”. But what I find most fulfilling is when that how involves songwriting, or simply walking alongside someone as they find their way.
